In the context of the world entering the acceleration phase of the 4.0 industrial revolution, digital transformation is not only a trend but also an inevitable requirement to improve national competitiveness. In the Document of the 13th National Party Congress, Vietnam has set the goal of completing the Digital Government by 2030, bringing the digital economy to account for about 30% of GDP, entering the top 50 countries leading in e-government and digital economy, and rising to third place in ASEAN.

Speaking at the program, the Prime Minister emphasized: “Developing richly and strongly is the path for the Vietnamese people to be prosperous, happy and enjoy the fruits of their own country. Resources start from motivation, motivation comes from innovation, and innovation must be based on the strength of the people and businesses.” From there, the Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam's economy must develop on the basis of science, technology, digital transformation and innovation, especially prioritizing modern economic models such as green economy, circular economy, sharing, creativity, digital economy and knowledge - with a focus on emerging technology industries such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Internet of Things. The 8% growth target in 2025 will be a stepping stone to create momentum and shape the country's position in the next period.
 

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared his insights on the strategic orientation of the Vietnamese economy in the new period. At the same time, businessman Hoang Huu Thang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intech Group appeared as a typical model for the spirit of innovation in enterprises, contributing to realizing the national vision of digital transformation.

According to strategic research reports, if implemented in the right direction, digital transformation can contribute an additional 0.38% to 1.1% to the national GDP each year by 2045. Over the past 10 years, Vietnam's digital economy has grown strongly in both infrastructure and market, spreading clearly to key areas such as finance, trade, education, healthcare, tourism, etc.

Notably, the effective operation of the digital economy comes not only from the leading role of the Government and businesses, but also from the important contributions of scientists, experts and universities, which are key links in the process of global digital integration.
